About Me

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me! I'm Amanda Schreiber and I've been teaching fifth grade in Ohio since 2006. I love working with my upper elementary students each day! Their creativity and kindness drive me to be a better teacher and person. I teach Language Arts and Social Studies and see about 60 students each day. I work with a great team of teachers and they make coming to work on Team Infinity the best place to be!

Reading and getting students to love books is my passion. I believe in choice and celebrating authors like the rockstars they are! Donalyn Miller is my hero and one of the most genuine people I have ever met! #NerdyBookClub member for life!

In my classroom we love Kate DiCamillo, Phil Bildner, Kwame Alexander and Melanie Conklin, to name a few! I try to read as much as possible and I'm always adding to my book club lists and favorite authors. I'm proud to say that my library is always growing and full of eager readers!

Outside of school, I have four spoiled rotten fur kids, Meg, Red, Mikka and Iggy. They love blankets, pillows, and "cookies." You'll find Iggy buried under a pile of blankets even in the summer. We all love reality TV shows, ice cream, and car rides!

I might be a little obsessed with Instagram! I love taking photos and doodling when I'm not reading or blogging! I'm a member of the #BookJourney reading crew and our mission is to celebrate reading and get our students and others excited about new books and authors. You can read more about #BookJourney on Nerdy Book Club where I blogged about The Book Club that Saved My Reading Life or from Phil Bildner's blog posts Rookie of the Year Book Journey Adventure Part I and Part II.

My perfect day? A great book, cold coffee, and some sunhine!

  2. Hi Amanda!

I just stumbled across your TpT account, and now blog, and I am obsessed! You have so many great ideas and I'm in awe that you fit them all in! This is my first year teaching 5th grade ELA and SS and I am loving all of your resources.

Something I am struggling with this year is simply deciding what to teach when, what's most important vs. what to pitch, etc. I wanted to see if you had some sort of ELA pacing guide you could share that could help new teachers like me. I've read about all of these awesome units you do but would like to know how much time you spend on them and the order in which you do everything. If you could share, that would be AMAZING! :)

  3. KETO LIT BHB utilizes the proven fat burning capability of exogenous ketones to provide you with a way to realize your weight loss and conditioning goals without having to adopt the full keto diet. If, however, you are already keto-compliant, this product will augment the ketone bodies already at work in your system to enable faster, more effective weight loss.

  4. Ashley Madison may not be your average dating website, but it does have quite a lot to offer for those who have some untraditional desires. It offers a good layout and numerous features/functions that you can take advantage of. The payment system is a bit tricky to figure out at first, and it would be nice if they offered month-to-month membership options. Overall, it’s not a bad site if you are looking for extra-marital companionship. It has a pretty big user base, so your chances of finding the perfect match nearby are actually quite good.
