One Little Word

Today, I'm joining up with Ashley and Angie for their #2getherWeAreBetter blog series! They're sharing plans and goals for 2016! This year, I decide I'm not going to make a lot of elaborate goals. I have a few things, I'd like to try and do but mostly I just want to spend some time enjoying the year. I feel like 2015 went by so quickly, I'm not sure I really was able to enjoy all the greatness!

So, what's my motto for 2016?

I actually knew my word for this year way back this summer when I attended a session with Donalyn Miller at the Scholastic Reading Summit. She told to us to give ourselves a little grace because we all can't be Lucy or Nancy. And well, I don't always do that.

So, I'm keeping it simple.  I want to experience grace. I want to give myself grace when I fail or don't live up to my own expectations. I also want to spread grace and kindness to others. And just feel graceful my everyday life.

Here's to giving ourselves a little grace in 2016,
